Terms of purchase

The Galaxy Registry provides a commemorative, symbolic naming service. A purchase records your chosen name in our private registry and provides a public registry page and printable certificate.

No astronomical or property rights

A registry name is not recognized by scientific institutions, does not alter an object’s official catalogue designation, and does not grant ownership or any legal interest in a celestial object.

Names and content

You must have the right to submit the name and dedication you provide. We may remove unlawful, abusive, impersonating, or infringing content. We do not promise that a chosen name is unique.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Because the digital registry page is created immediately after payment, purchases are generally final except where required by law or when we fail to provide the service.

Availability

We aim to keep registry pages available, but cannot promise uninterrupted or permanent hosting. Keep a copy of your certificate.
